Nature-based learning through participation

Working with zoo planners Studio Hanson/Roberts, AldrichPears Associates planned and designed a new Children's Zoo within the existing Dallas Zoo. The Children's Zoo features a wealth of touch encounters with live creatures in urban, rural and wild habitats.

APA designed interactive exhibits that appeal to kids of various ages, such as a crawl-through mongoose burrow and other full-body experiences. Children can also learn more about the in-house specimen collection by trading natural artifacts at the popular Nature Exchange--designed and produced in collaboration with Science North.
