Creating fun, full-body experiences for kids

At Wallaroo Station, AldrichPears Associates worked with zoo designers Studio Hanson/Roberts to recreate an Australian station (ranch) as a playful and safe environment for kids to encounter live animals and their exotic habitats.

Young visitors can ride ponies, walk amongst kangaroos and explore the billabong (waterhole) water-play feature. Visitors are guided through the station's homestead, barns and outbuildings by characters that personalize the story and interpret the animals from diverse perspectives.
