Lowry Park Zoo: Wallaroo Station Children's Zoo

Wallaroo Station is a recreated Australian ranch that provides a playful, safe environment where kids encounter live animals in an exotic habitat.

Young visitors can ride ponies, walk amongst wallabees and explore the billabong water-play feature. They are guided through the homestead, barns and outbuildings by characters that appear on graphic panels. These characters include Boomer the kangaroo, a young girl who lives on the station, the son of an Aboriginal caretaker and an American naturalist. These characters personalize the story and interpret the animals from diverse perspectives.
