Two AldrichPears Design Projects Win International Awards
The Themed Entertainment Association recently named the recipients of the 13th Annual Thea Awards. Two projects designed by AldrichPears Associates were included on this year's impressive list of international attractions and visitor experiences.

The Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement for a Zoo Exhibit was awarded to Zoomazium at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, Washington. The exhibit was recognized for its innovative approach to teaching children about wild life and our natural environment. The purpose-built indoor/outdoor space set within the zoo grounds uses play as a method for exploration and learning. In naming the award, the selection committee praised the exhibit for its creativity, its use of technology, and its attention to detail. The AldrichPears design team for Zoomazium included Phil Aldrich, Isaac Marshall, Doug Munday, Sheila Hill, Edna Chan, Jennifer Pantel, and Stacy Ellwein.

The Kidspace Children's Museum in Pasadena, California was recognized for the Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement for a Children's Museum. The new design was a refresh of a long existing facility, focused primarily on children 12 and under. Keeping that focus, exhibits offer an immersive and educational experience for the whole family. The AldrichPears project team consisted of Phil Aldrich, Tim Lindsay, Randi Robin, Ana Royea, and Brent Dutton.
The Thea Awards recognize achievement, talent and personal excellence within the themed entertainment industry. Awards will be presented at the 13th Annual Thea Awards Gala, on March 3, 2007 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California. Visit www.teaconnect.com for more information.
