Northwest Arctic Heritage Center

Sharing arctic traditions with new generations

AldrichPears Associates worked with the National Park Service (NPS) and the Northwest Arctic Native Association (NANA) to recreate the Northwest Arctic Heritage Center.

APA provided conceptual development and exhibit design to interpret the Alaska's Western Arctic National Parklands and the subsistence culture of the Inupiaq people. Exhibits offer visitors insights into the Northwest Arctic's cultural and natural history, with a focus on how arctic cultures are inextricably tied to the land and how NPS and NANA are working together to preserve the Parklands for future generations through sustainable use of the land and wildlife.
