USS Arizona Memorial Visitor Center

The National Park Service wanted a new interpretive concept for 5400 sf of interior exhibit space and 1600 sf of exterior interpretive space for its aging USS Arizona Memorial Visitor Center. The challenge lay in providing its 1.5 million visitors per year with an experience that interprets the historical events leading up to, and resulting from, the December 7, 1941 attack while making the content resonate with today's audiences.

Staying true to the memorial's mission of honoring the courage and sacrifices of Pearl Harbor, the exhibits will provide a balanced perspective featuring survivors' oral histories, Pearl Harbor artifacts, and audiovisual experiences.
