Pacific Passages contributes to this environment, providing a spectacular welcome for arrivals to the city. This installation creates a sense of the British Columbia coast. Cool tidal waters softly wash up on a sandy beach in a space enclosed by subtle scrims depicting coastal rainforests. Calls of West Coast birds further animate the environment and specially commissioned pieces of original First Nations art and sculpture punctuate the experience.
