Pacific Passage

With its numerous art installations, the Vancouver International Airport is a refreshing repose for travelers.

Pacific Passage contributes to this environment, providing a spectacular welcome for arrivals to the city. This installation creates a sense of the British Columbia coast. Cool tidal waters softly wash up on a sandy beach in a space enclosed by subtle scrims depicting coastal rainforests. Calls of West Coast birds further animate the environment and specially commissioned pieces of original First Nations art and sculpture punctuates the experience.
